About me

Hello! My name is Denys Panchenko. I am a guitarist, composer and classical guitar teacher. I was born in the city of Kirovograd (Ukraine) and started playing music from childhood. I received a full musical education — first there was a music school, then I studied at the Kharkov College of Music (teacher Vitaly Petrov). Then I graduated from the Kharkov Conservatory as a concert performer on classical guitar (class of Professor Vladimir Dotsenko). At the same time, I studied in a composition class with Professor Vladimir Ptushkin. During my studies, I took part in and became a laureate of several international competitions as a classical guitar performer, as well as in composition competitions.

After my education, I worked as a classical guitar teacher at the Kharkov College of Music for 21 years. I trained a large number of students who became laureates of all-Ukrainian and international competitions. And now they work successfully as teachers.

Now I live in Vancouver (Canada). I perform as a concert guitarist — I play both the classical concert repertoire and my own original compositions. I write music in a wide range of styles — primarily for guitar, for YouTube videos, commercials, films, TV and other projects. I also work as a classical guitar teacher.
